Terms and Conditions

General Terms and Conditions for using Mxsec email services.

1. Scope of Application

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all digital services and email accounts provided by Mxsec, Havouza 15, 4706 Pissouri, Cyprus to consumers and commercial entities.

2. Contracting Party

The service contract is concluded with Mxsec, Anders Yuran, Havouza 15, 4706 Pissouri, Cyprus.

3. Contract Language

The contract language is English.

4. Registration, Service Activation & Invoicing

4.1 To preserve user privacy, registration requires no personal identification data (such as real name, physical address, or phone number). Account creation is completed by choosing an available mailbox name and configuring access credentials.

4.2 Service activation occurs immediately upon receipt of payment confirmation.

4.3 Invoices are digital. A receipt or invoice can be issued electronically upon request via email.

5. Payment Terms & Renewals

5.1 Service fees are payable in advance for the selected subscription period via the supported payment gateways displayed during checkout (including credit cards, payment processors, or accepted digital methods).

5.2 Accounts that are not renewed prior to the expiration date may be temporarily suspended and subsequently purged following a grace period.

6. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

While Mxsec provides privacy-focused services, our platform may not be used for illegal activities or system misuse. Users agree not to use Mxsec infrastructure for:

  • Sending unsolicited bulk email (Spam) or participating in phishing campaigns.
  • Distributing malware, ransomware, or engaging in unauthorized network probing/attacks.
  • Activities violating applicable laws of Cyprus or the European Union.

Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate account termination without refund.

7. Service Availability & Limitations

We strive to maintain maximum operational uptime for our email infrastructure hosted in Germany[cite: 1]. However, system maintenance, software updates, or unexpected upstream data center outages may occasionally occur. Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

8. Right of Withdrawal for EU Consumers

Under EU consumer law, consumers generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. However, by requesting immediate activation of digital email accounts upon payment, you acknowledge that performance of the digital service begins immediately.

9. Applicable Law & Jurisdiction

9.1 The laws of the Republic of Cyprus apply, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

9.2 For commercial entities, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is the place of business of the service operator.

10. Consumer Dispute Resolution

The European Commission provides a platform for Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) for European consumers, accessible via standard web browsers. Use of this dispute platform is voluntary.
